Every Sunday morning should start like this.
After reviewing the disappointing contents of my fridge, we headed off to town to seek out some decent breakfast. Stumbling into the Northern Quarter, aka hipster central, we picked a quaint cafe called Teacup. Its specialities and floor layout is remarkably similar to my work’s. Considering that work and this restaurant/cafe are situated in opposite ends of the country, it was a little strange, however, with all the similarities I felt secure in the sense that the food would be great.
I was not disappointed.
Once the morning’s savoury, sugar and caffeine cravings had been satisfied – much to the waitress’ confusion – we cracked out some colours and V’s laptop and tried working on something special for the blog. The lack of internet got in the way… for now – but watch this space!
After putting aside the project, we left the cafe as I suggested we perform an Easter related challenge. This involved finding a present in twenty minutes for the other. It was mainly motivated by my serious lack of Easter eggs, but lets pretend I’m not that childish. Anyway, it worked out quite well, while the present wasn’t restricted to chocolate, it had to be funny. As you can see V did rather well on that front.
